Hurricane Protection Services sells and installs two types of hurricane strength bahama shutters. One type has a perforated aluminum backing for large missle impact resistance is accepted by Miami-Dade County, Florida, and International Building Codes and may be installed in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (Dade, Monroe, and Broward County) with the proper separation to glass. The second type of bahama has no backing and has a clear view when looking out of window similar to a decorative bahama when in the non-hurricane position. These shutters are new to the market and are accepted by the Florida Building and International Building Codes. The ASSA and Town and Country versions of this shutter are awaiting Miami-Dade approval. Features of bahama shutters:
