Rolling shutters have various slat designs that are spanned between aluminum tracks and when retracted are housed in a rectangular box above the opening. These manufacturers; QMI, MaestroShield, and RollerStar have different engineering and benefits that allow us to utilize the best shutter for any given scenario.

Bahama Shutters - Hurricane Protection Services sells and installs two types of hurricane strength bahama shutters. One type has a perforated aluminum backing for large missle impact resistance is accepted by Miami-Dade County, Florida, and International Building Codes and may be installed in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (Dade, Monroe, and Broward County) with the proper separation to glass. The second type of bahama has no backing and has a clear view when looking out of window similar to a decorative bahama when in the non-hurricane position.

Colonial Shutters - Hurricane Protection Services sells and installs several types of hurricane strength colonial shutters; these shutters have different price points and offer varying mounting conditions and engineering options. Allowing us to offer our customer the best options for they’re given scenario. The first type, the ASSA Bertha Colonial has a solid aluminum backing for impact resistance and is accepted by Florida building and International Building Codes. It does not require storm bars, and is the lowest priced colonial we offer. The second type of colonial, the Town and Country Colonial is approved by the Florida Building Code for High Velocity Hurricane Zones and the International Building Code: this shutter has engineering that allows a center clip or storm bars.

Clearly Protected - Hurricane Protection Services manufactures, sells and installs the Clearly Protected WP clear panel system. These flat, optically clear panels are made with ¼" GE XL10–Lexan, and are approved under the Florida Building Code.
